Traveling Service Technician for world-leading METOP in Malmö

Everything takes place in Malmö, including software and mechanics development, manufacturing, assembly, final testing, and delivery. Our product range consists of X-ray equipment, automatic microscopes, vision, and mechanical systems. About the role:

Training will take place with an initial period of at least 2-3 months in our production department and support organization. After that, you will gradually start traveling out in the field. First together with a colleague and then be able to work independently in your role as a service technician.

Traveling will amount to 100-120 days per year, and customers are located in about 90 countries worldwide. You will be traveling for about a week at a time (exceptionally two). The work involves (fine) mechanics, electronics, and electricity. You will work in a team with three colleagues who work in similar roles.

Your background:

Requirements:

• Some form of technical education. This could be in industry, automotive technology, mechanics, electronics, electrical engineering, or other education with comparable technical level.
• At least some previous experience in technical work, preferably with previous positions as a service technician or technical work in industry.
• Driving license B without special conditions.
• General computer skills, Windows/Office, etc. Additional computer skills are a plus.
• Good language skills with a high technical level in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Good social skills and the ability to communicate effectively with many different types of counterparts, both linguistically and culturally.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience in precision mechanics and traveling work is highly meritorious.
• Experience in troubleshooting and reading electrical schematics.
• Experience from the food or packaging industry.
• Other languages (Spanish, French, German, or others)
